Booking the boat ride was super easy. Getting there was easy. Once you are there it's liked organized chaos. But they have their systems in place. Find your kiosk, get your lanyard telling what boat you are with. Luggage is tagged with destination. Then you go through a gate and have to pay a local terminal tax. We then wait with hundreds of others for our boat. Which got delayed. Delayed again. Eventually cancelled. It had mechanical failure. They knew this. They knew it wasn't going to run that day. They said they will try and get us on another boat. Everyone was booked. So we had to get a hotel room for the night and come back again the next day and got a boat. Relax. It's all part of the Bali experience. The boat ride itself is mind blowing. They just take your luggage as you board and throw it in the hull. Then it's just go find a seat and speed across for a couple hours. Hot and boring. Air-conditioning wasn't working but having the windows open kept the breeze going, until it got too bumpy and the windows had to be closed because too much water was coming in. Arrived. Waited among the masses and collected our luggage. An experience I'll never forget and I'd do again just without the cancellations.
